Lagos govt allocates N4bn LSETF-W Initiative to empower women entrepreneurs

The Lagos State Government has launched N4 billion LSETF W-INITIATIVE to provide funding for women entrepreneurs in the state to achieve their growth objectives and create jobs for the youths. The initiative is targeted at women-owned businesses with at least 50 per cent ownership share in operation for one to five years. It is also aimed at driving up financial inclusion among women and create financial access for SMEs in state.

About LSETF W-Initiative

The LSETF W-INITIATIVE, is a special intervention fund contributed between the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund and Access bank Plc, to provide access to affordable finance, up to 5 million naira for female-owned businesses in Lagos State.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) itself was established in 2016 by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job, wealth creation and to tackle unemployment.
